John H Saunders
John joined Saunders Insurance Agency in 1978, working under his father and founder of SIA, Howard Baker Saunders. During his tenure, SIA expanded its insurance selections into new markets. John now serves as President of SIA and continues his role of agent/broker. John has completed Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Certified School Risk Management (CSRM) designations. Employee benefits, commercial, public entities, and farm insurance are John’s main areas of expertise. John resides in Gallipolis and has 4 children. John graduated from the University of Rio Grande with B.S. in Business Management and History.
Scott W Saunders
Scott began his insurance career in 2009, becoming the 3rd generation of Saunders' to work for the family owned and operated agency. Scott serves as Vice President and agent/broker specializing in Commercial, Public Entities, Sports & Fitness Insurance, and Employee Benefits. Scott serves on the boards for the Downtown Revitalization Project, University of Rio Grande Evans School of Business Advisory Council, and University of Rio Grande Alumni Council. Scott previously coached varsity football at Gallia Academy High School, Jackson High School, and Alexander High School. Scott graduated from the University of Rio Grande with B.S. in Business Management and B.S in Marketing.
Personal Lines Manager
Christy joined SIA in 1991 as an agent/broker and customer service representative after working for the Gallia County Chamber of Commerce. Christy holds a Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designation with expertise in personal insurance sales and customer service. Christy lives in Pomeroy, Ohio and has one daughter who also works at SIA - keeping with the family ties.
Amber began work for SIA in 2002 as a customer service representative and now controls accounting, billing, and payroll for the agency. Amber is working towards her Certified Public Accounting license. Amber resides in Pomeroy, Ohio, loves reading and animals.
Brett joined Saunders Insurance Agency as an agent/broker specializing in farm, agribusiness, commercial, trucking and personal lines insurance. Brett is a 2009 graduate from Gallia Academy High School. He received his insurance certification from Hondros College in 2017. Brett has served on the Board of Directors for the Gallia County Agricultural Society and is an active member of the Ohio Farm Bureau and The Ohio Cattlemen's Association. Brett currently resides in Crown City, Ohio with his wife Morgan Steinbeck.
